At this point in time, counting Sound Off Santa Maria, there are three blogs in the Central Coast. The weekly Santa Maria SUN newspaper focused on the other two blogs in their cover story a week ago.
Central Coast News Mission is a collaborative blog, according to my previous post -- What's a "Blog"? -- which described the various types of blogs on the Internet. It's maintained by one owner, Lompoc resident Greg McClure, with many local authors contributing their commentary.
Another Central Coast blog is that of Cal Poly alumnus Craig Baracco. According to The SUN, Baracco started his notebook style blog -- Craigorian Chant -- a year and a half ago to muse mostly about national politics. However, he's a frequent contributor to the San Luis Obispo New
Times newspaper with locally oriented commentary, so his blog is an excellent tool to spread the word.
How many blogs will the Central Coast have by this time next year?
